Wayne Edward Griswold passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 66 on Sunday morning, November 27, 2016. Wayne was born in Hayden, Colorado, on Aug. 5, 1950, to Lewis Griswold and Bernice Paulson Griswold. He spent his entire life in the Uintah Basin, living in Jensen and Vernal as a young child, at a ranch in Neola from the age of 12 until adulthood, and in Whiterocks and Roosevelt for most of the rest of his life. He often spoke fondly of his much-loved horse, Sage, from his ranching years.

Wayne was the Founder and Philosopher of Simulacrum Science, a revolutionary branch of Physics and Chemistry which explains how dark matter and energy interact with physical elements. His lifelong goal was the advancement of technology for the betterment of the Earth and Mankind.

Wayne was also a talented musician, and often enriched the hearts of his family and friends by singing and playing his guitar or piano. He encouraged his children to think critically, and pursue knowledge. Wayne loved his friends and family dearly.

He is survived by the love of his life, Gayla Christine (Murray) Griswold, whom he married on May 25, 1973; his daughter, Angela N. Serawop (Clifford), Utah; his sons Timothy A. Griswold (Dongqing), California; and Tarin C. Griswold (Mayumi), Colorado; eight grandchildren, (Destinee, Jocelyn, Audrey, Alan, Andrew, Kinley, Aaron and Ryusei); his brothers William L. (Judy) Griswold, Utah; Kenneth Davis, Idaho; Richard (Marsha) Davis, Idaho; Michael (Ruth) Davis, Nevada; and his sisters Barbara (Davis) Ashcraft, Utah, and Nancy (Paul) Ebbert, Wyoming.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Neola LDS Chapel.
