Kerry Wade Needles, age 65, passed away peacefully July 29, 2015, at home in Roosevelt.
He was born March 26, 1950 in Price, to Rita and Floyd Needles.
Wade found purpose in his work and took pride in providing for his family. Wade moved from Vernal to Roosevelt in the early 70's with his first wife Leann Southam, where they made a life together and had six daughters; they later divorced. Wade went to work in the oil field as a roughneck. He loved to recall stories from the rig and always thought of himself as a roughneck. With his tenacity and work ethic it wasn't long before he started his own business, Basin Moving & Storage. Moving people allowed him to travel all over the United States and he always had a story to bring back to his girls. His generosity and kind spirit touched many lives across the country and he will be dearly missed by his family, whom he loved dearly.
Wade was lucky to find and marry Bonnie Peterson on July 3, 2006. They shared a love of religion and a deep friendship. Their favorite church calling was in the nursery where they served together.
Wade has seven grandchildren and will meet a sweet little girl in heaven on her way here later this year. His favorite things were rock hunting, pulling loose teeth, fishing, and teaching the kids to wrestle.
Wade is survived by his lovely wife Bonnie Needles of Roosevelt, his daughters; Kara (Mike) Morris of St. George, Rita (Jake) Porter of Evans, CO, Heather (Derek) Christensen of Woodsfield, OH, and Ashley Needles, his father Floyd Needles of Salt Lake City, and his sisters Christe (Steve) Corbin of Salt Lake City, Stacy (Stephen) Yeoman of Palm Springs, CA, as well as Bonnie's daughter, Stephina (Robert) Fear of Rancho Cordova, CA and grandchildren, Zoe and Tanner Brown (Morris), Addison Porter, Caydon, Kenia, Amon and Emma Christensen, and Rebekah and Kathryn Fear.
Wade was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Needles, his twin infant daughters, and a son-in-law, Brian Denkers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Roosevelt 1st Ward LDS Chapel with a viewing from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Maeser Cemetery
