Vern Morris

Vern H Morris, age 55, of Roosevelt, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
    Vern was born September 18, 1961 in Roosevelt to Lavor Leon and Bernice Elouise Hackford Morris.  He married Christine Evans on November 16, 1990.
    Vern was a professional truck driver, driving over 1 million miles.  He enjoyed working on the family ranch, working with animals, cutting and hauling hay, branding cows and just being in the outdoors.  He loved animals, especially horses, deer, elk, and dogs.  His guardian angel and best friend was his dog, “Little Man”.  He liked to hunt and his favorite thing was spending time with his family.  He was always on the phone with his sister, Vickie, they were the best of friends, and was also close to his sister Caroline.  
    He is survived by his wife, Christine Morris, Roosevelt; sons, Bryan (Tiffany) Strickland, Roosevelt; Nigel (Kylie) Johnson, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Marie (John) Sadlier, St. George; Leon (Gene) Morris, Vernal; LeRoy (Beth) Morris, Bluebell; Harold (Shannon) Morris, Myton; Caroline (John) Wood, Cedarview; Vickie (Guy) Litster, Dickinson, ND; Michael Morris, Altonah; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.    
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roger Morris, nephews, Ian Sadlier and Jamie Morris.
    Funeral services held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt Baptist Church.  A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service.  
    Burial in the Altonah Cemetery.
