Tyson Antonio

    Tyson Marcartin Antonio, age 23, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away April 11, 2015, in Ballard.
    He was born May 30, 1991, in Roosevelt, to Paul Anthony Antonio and SherlLynn Grant.  He married Jocita Marie Poowegup in 2013 in Vernal.
    Tyson worked as a carpenter and cement worker, and in his spare time liked to write and record rap music.  He was a good cook – tortillas, fry bread, and hamburger gravy over rice being his specialties.  He enjoyed bow hunting and fishing, traveling with family, gambling at casinos, and playing darts.  In his younger days he was a traditional dancer and liked to sing round dance songs and prayer songs.
    He was a very good person with a nice personality who liked to make people laugh. His favorite time was spent with family and taking care of his daughter.
    Tyson is survived by his wife, Jocita; daughter Tayla “Boo” Antonio, both of Ft. Duchesne; mother, SherylLynn Grant Ridley, Ballard; father, Paul Antonio, Salt Lake City; grandparents; Jonas (Joy) Grant, Hilltop; Anna Jolyn Pargeets, Kansas; great-great grandfather, Bobby Cuch, Whiterocks; brothers and sister, Craig Anthony Antonio, Sr.; Anna Antonio, Rebecca Ridley, Quincy Ridley, Jr., all of Ballard; grandparents-in-law, Jolene and Richard Poowegup, Sr., father-in-law, Richard Poowegup, Jr., brother-in-law, Casper Poowegup, all of Ft. Duchesne; and numerous other relatives.
    He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Adelbert Pargeets, Sr.; sister, Lori Beth Antonio Taveapont; and great-grandmother, Emma Lou Cuch.
    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Whiterocks LDS Chapel.  There will be a wake on Wednesday after 4:00 p.m. at his home in Ft. Duchesne and a viewing on Thursday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m.
    Burial will be in the Red Knoll Cemetery under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.  Condolences may be shared at www.hullingermortuary.com
