Tyler Louis Roberts

Tyler Louis Roberts, age 32 of Roosevelt, Utah, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2016, at his home.

He was born on February 26, 1984, in Roosevelt to Louis Howard Roberts and Michelle Cloward Roberts. Before he was 14 years old he had achieved his black belt in karate and was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout. Tyler graduated from Union High School and was awarded the Young Craftsman of the Year Scholarship for excellent woodworking. He became very skilled in cabinetry, achieving high honors in high school for the projects he completed. He attended both Southern Utah University and Utah State University, where he achieved his Associates degree in business.

Tyler was a hard worker who as a young man, would work on the farm with his Grandpa Kay and help him with his duplex. As an adult he worked equally as hard as a telemetry tech for oilfield automation companies. When he wasn't working he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play. He was an avid movie fan and loved his music. Tyler had a contagious smile and quick wit. He had the ability to always keep everyone laughing and smiling.

Tyler was the best son anyone could have asked for. His loving and kind nature made him someone his parents have always been proud of. He was more than a son, he was their best friend. They loved him dearly and will miss him every minute of every day. His three beautiful sisters thought he was the greatest brother around. He would "go to bat" for them no matter what, and ask questions later. He was an awesome uncle who loved his nieces and nephews. They all looked forward to their time with him. He never left them without a big bear hug. All the kids in the family loved Tyler.

His true love and joy was his sweet baby girl, Jovi. He was a phenomenal dad who tended to her every need. He loved reading as many stories as she wanted and taking her on the 4-wheeler. From the minute he saw her until the time she was exhausted at the end of the day, they were on the go enjoying every minute they had together. After her bath, their night time routine was to bundle her up with her favorite blanket and pink beanie on her head so they could go outside to look at the moon and stars. Afterward they made pudding together for their treat.

Tyler will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was a great son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend, but most of all he was an amazing dad. We love you Tyler!

He is survived by his sweet little girl, Jovi Jade Roberts; parents, Louis & Michelle Roberts; sisters, Magen (Christopher) Cairoli; Jamie (Rowdy) Rhoades; Shelby (Cassidy) Goodrich; grandparents, Lowell Roberts; Kay & Glenda Cloward; nieces and nephews, Payton Cairoli, Ella, Tristan, Brylee & Daxton Rhoades, all of Roosevelt; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elaine Roberts; and his uncle Vaughn Roberts.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt West LDS Stake Center. Viewings will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and on Wednesday at 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the church, prior to services.

Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
