We sadly and unexpectedly lost our Soulmate, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend, Tyler Karl Lund on December 3, 2016.
He was born November 30, 1977, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Karl and Jackie Lund. His arrival was a very celebrated event as he was the first boy to join four sisters who would dote on him and cherish him all of his life! He attended Duchesne schools and graduated from Duchesne High School in 1996, where he was a talented, dedicated member of the DHS football and local community baseball teams.
He began working at a young age as a ranch hand. He then found employment on a construction crew followed by experience and success in the oil field. He began his first tunneling experience on the Provo Canyon Project in 2003, and that's when he fell in love with mining. He had a career rich with challenging opportunities affording him a respected expertise in the industry. He became adept at overseeing the operation of running quite a few multi-million dollar tunnel boring machines, and because of Tyler, the overall progress of the entire project, on many different locations, was always quite successful. Tyler was sought after by many different companies because of his skills. His dedication and skill were noted by those he worked with which earned him a top notch reputation. This led him to be invited into the upper management levels of several well-known, world famous, mining corporations.
While Tyler was dedicated and accomplished in his chosen profession, his true love and passion was his beautiful soulmate, Jacqueline “Nique” Dominique Brown. They were married on June, 6, 1998. His nickname for Nique was "Goddess," and he truly believed that she was from the ethereal realms. He was always in awe with her tremendous ability to love with all of her heart, to embrace all those around her with the desire to bring light, peace and love to everyone. He depended on her spirituality to strengthen and enhance his own gifts and desires to live a life that would bless others. Together they created three amazing children that he adored more than anything. Damyn "Bunna" came into their home with a happy nature and with an unusual understanding and aptitude for learning and doing things beyond his years. He was a perfect child to be the man of the house for the many months that his dad would be gone on the job. He was always there for his mother helping when life became challenging. Corbyn "Toad" came along a couple of years later to capture the hearts of those who would see his cartoon like moves and his precious childlike innocence. His family was often entertained with his "Jack Ass" daredevil bike jumps over barbed wire fences and other equally death defying feats. Taylea Bay "Little Bit" came in like a beautiful gentle breeze in the summer. She charmed and entertained all around her. Her daddy, in particular was under her spell the day she was born. He could never say "no" to his Tiny Little Dancer girl. He had painted toenails, sat for "make-up" sessions and was obedient to her every command.
Tyler loved family gatherings, whether it was fun by the campfire, fishing on Starvation, camping up at Rock Creek at upper Stillwater, or just sitting in the backyard having a barbecue and dancing the Salsa with Nique on the back deck!
Tyler is survived by his wife, Jacqueline “Nique”, two sons, Damyn and Corbyn and a daughter, Taylea Bay Irelynd. He also leaves his beloved father, Karl Lund and wonderful stepmother Kathie Lund. His adoring and affectionate mother, Jackie Lund preceded him in death. He is also survived by four sisters, Kerrie Lund (Brad) Bollman, Jenny Lund (Lex) Fabrizio, Margie Lund (Chris) Peatross, and Shelly Lund (Crayton) Valentine. He also has several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins whom he dearly loved and adored. It would be amiss to not mention his closest friends whom he loved dearly and considered brothers, Justin Crum and Ryan Crum and a close and cherished relationship with Stan and Debbie Crum, whom he considered his second set of parents.
We love you, Tyler! Namaste my Sweet Soulmate....
