September 20, 1974 — February 25, 2018

Trevor Belnap

Trevor Brett Belnap, 43 passed away peacefully Sunday February 25, 2018, holding the hand of his sweetheart Nicole. Trevor was always anxiously engaged in a good cause.  Trevor was an extremely hard worker, and an attractive man both on the inside and out. He looked for opportunities to serve. Trevor was an avid learner. He was raised with a heritage of family first.
Trevor was born in Blackfoot, ID September 20, 1974 as the firstborn son to Brett and Sherry Belnap. Trevor was an extremely active child. He was very athletic and found a deep love in the game of baseball. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors with his father and brothers. As he grew he learned to work hard at everything he did. He spent countless hours learning and gaining greater understanding pertaining to the things of this earth, but also pertaining to the things of God. Trevor was called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Córdoba, Argentina mission from June of 1996- August 1998. As in everything in life he worked hard, and loved deeply.  He fell in love with Nicole only months after returning.  The two were sealed in the Bountiful Utah temple on June 4, 1999.  Trevor loved being a husband and father. He and Nicole were blessed with 5 beautiful children, Christian, Carson, Madison, Ethan and Brynley. Trevor loved his family. He worked hard to provide for them. But he worked even harder to teach them and love them through life. Trevor loved his garden, and the beautiful things of the earth. He loved spending time teaching his children how to plant, weed and finally harvest. In everything he did, he excelled, but perhaps his greatest accomplishment was his family who loved him with all their hearts. Trevor passed away unexpectedly in Salt Lake City from complications due to a brain aneurysm. He will be truly missed.
Trevor is survived by his beloved wife Nicole, and five children, Christian (17), Carson (16), Madison (13), Ethan (9), and Brynley (6). He is also survived by his parents, Brett and Sherry Belnap along with his parents in law Gary (Helen) Peterson and Betty Peterson. His brothers Brady (Laura) Belnap, Brock (Kim) Belnap, Tyrell (Lacey) Belnap, and sisters Tanesha (Daniel) Hansen, and Shilo (Devin) Lindstrom. Brothers in law, Justin Peterson, Timothy (Lora) Gibbons, Adam Peterson, Brandon (Kristi) Peterson, and Danny Peterson. Also by his sweet grandmother Alva Lu Hebdon and many loving, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by many loved grandparents.
Funeral services will be held in the Altamont Stake Center.  Family visitation will be March 2, 2018 from 6-8 pm and March 3, from 9:30-10:30 with the funeral at 11.
