Tonya Taylor Jensen, age 68, of Roosevelt, passed away September 28, 2016, at home of an apparent heart attack due to various health issues.
She was born March 25, 1948, in Spanish Fork, to Martin D and Vera Andersen Taylor. She married Joseph Ralph Jensen and they later divorced.
Tonya achieved an associates degree at BYU and worked as a secretary for the Bureau of Reclamation, as a waitress, and mostly as a homemaker. She enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting and cooking. She was a foster-grandparent, and was basically a second mom to her sister, Teri. She taught her to cook, and sew, and in these last few months were "partners in crime." Together they liked to have movie marathons, go on trips to Wendover, and have sleepovers. She had quite the stubborn streak and you could never "pull one over on her."
Tonya is survived by her children, Tara (Terrill) Rasmussen, Cleveland; Marty Ralph Jensen; Timothy Ryan (Jennifer) Jensen, both of Price; grandchildren, Jacob Tuttle, Riley, Raegan, & Tayden Rasmussen, Melinda Vandyke; a great-granddaughter, Sydney Vandyke; sisters, Peggy Robinson, Orem; Teri (Mark) Springer, Roosevelt; a brother, Tom Taylor, Springville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard and her parents.
Cremation arrangements handled by the Hullinger Mortuary.
