We may not understand today or tomorrow but eventually God will reveal why we went through everything we did. Our son, brother, uncle, and friend, Timothy Reed Lemon, age 28, of Ioka, chose to return to Heavenly Father on February 27, 2017, after battling mental illness.
He was born May 27, 1988, in Roosevelt, to James Reed and Louise Wilkerson Lemon. As a child his fearless character constantly kept us on our toes but also gave us plenty of entertaining memories. In high school, he was active in drama, performed with the musical group “Stagelight”, played percussion in the band, ran cross-country, and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He graduated from Union High School and LDS Seminary in 2006. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Timothy worked in auto parts, construction, as an auto mechanic, and was known for his excellent customer service and quality of work. He had a contagious smile, bubbly personality, a big heart, and loved to help anyone in need. We learned to expect the unexpected with Timothy! He was very adventurous, enjoying fast cars and motorcycles, heading out on spur-of-the-moment road trips, and even skydiving. He is very much loved and will be deeply missed. It’s hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember.
Timothy is survived by his parents, James R & Louise Lemon, of Ioka; brothers and sisters, Jamie (Jorge) Lemon-Hueitra, Roosevelt; Nathaniel (Elizabeth) Lemon, Rock Springs; Jeremiah (Stephanie) Lemon, West Valley City; Derek (Whitney) Lemon, Roy; Justin (Sammi) Lemon, Rock Springs; Patrick (Dayann) Lemon, West Valley City; Diantha Lemon, currently serving in the Morristown, New Jersey LDS Mission; 12 nieces and nephews, and much extended family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Boyd & Tess Lemon and Bertha & Arbun “AC” Wilkerson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Myton LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing on Friday at the Hullinger Mortuary from 6- 8 p.m. and from 10-10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in the Ioka Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.hullingermortuary.com
