Thomas Leonard Barrett

Thomas Leonard Barrett, age 83, of Myton, passed away May 17, 2023, at his daughter’s home.
    He was born November 30, 1940, in Dodge City, Kansas, to Carl Thomas and Paula Maxine Garrison Barrett.  He married Linda Genelle Butler on February 12, 1961, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She died December 3, 2019.
    Thomas served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1961 where he received the Good Conduct Medal.  
    He worked in the oilfield starting in the ‘70s and going unitl 1983.  Afterwards he painted houses, and did woodworking.  In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, refinishing furniture, tinkering around outside, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
    Thomas is survived by his children, Terrie Young, Tonya (Kelly) Little, Kim Murrah, Paul Barrett, Paula (Kevin) Scheib; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his son, Tommy; his parents, Carl & Paula; and his siblings, Carla Dowel, Michael Barrett, Kay Unruh, and Connie Sue Barrett.
    Per his wishes, he was cremated.  

     A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Myton Park across from the City Building.
