Terry Quinn Thomas, age 69, of Fruitland, passed away March 11, 2017, at the Uintah Basin Sr. Villa from complications of Dementia.
He was born April 16, 1947, in Spanish Fork, to Llewelyn Thomas, Jr. and Mary Ann Tranchel Thomas. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the United States Marines during Vietnam.
Terry married Carol Kilkuskie and later divorced. He married LaVonne Thomas and she died in 1994.
He worked as a landscaper and worked for Grant’s Mountain West Ranches in Duchesne and did the outdoor beautification of the Fruitland Rest Area. He liked to sing at the top of his lungs – even if it was off key – to all of his fellow residents at the Sr. Villa the song, “Kaw-Liga”.
Terry is survived by his children, Monica Thomas (Christopher Fury), Roanoke, VA; Alex (Julie) Thomas, Harborton, VA; Joseph Thomas (Michael Brandon), Carmel, IN; 8 grandchildren; step-children, Christa, Kenneth, Kandace, Curtis Knight; mother, MaryAnn (Jerry) Scott, Nephi; brother and sisters, Vaughn (Gayle) Thomas, Fruitland; Susan Booke, Goshen; Dorothy Woodruff, Nephi; June (Ron) Kemper, Santaquin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVonne; his brother, Danny Olsen, and his father.
