Our beloved sister, TeAnn Taylor, died as the result of an automobile accident on November 26, 2023. She was 62 years old. Her life ended in the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque.
TeAnn was born on May 16, 1961 in Vernal, Utah to Arthur LeRoy and KaraLyn Smith Taylor. She joined older siblings Karri, Bruce and Brian and they were joined later by Mildred (stillborn), Joy Lynn (stillborn), Eileen, Gayleen, Janae and Robbie. She grew up in Duchesne, Utah where she went to school, graduating from Duchesne High School. Later, as an adult, she attended and graduated from the Uintah Basin branch of Utah State University with a bachelor's degree.
TeAnn was a hard worker and worked in many different jobs and positions, most recently at Parkside Manor in Roosevelt, Utah.
She loved her yard and gardening and her animals, especially her chickens, several dogs over the years and her cats. She loved horses and for many years bred and raised Appaloosa.
She was a very generous friend.
TeAnn had kidney disease from a young age and went on dialysis at age 19. In her 30’s she was able to receive a transplant and when it failed, in her 40’s, received a living donor transplant from her brother Brian. She worked in dialysis for several years and was able to help many dialysis patients with her intimate knowledge of the processes involved in the kidney failure journey.
TeAnn was a great advocate of organ donation and encouraged people to be donors.
TeAnn is survived by her siblings, Karri (Bob) Hoopes, Eileen (Trent) Potter, Gayleen Denney, Robbie (Carrie) Taylor, all of Duchesne; Bruce (Gail) Taylor of Rexburg, ID; and Janae (Michael) Rowley of Manti, UT.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Brian.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at the University of New Mexico Hospital for their care and communication; the members of Roosevelt 9th Ward, the staff and residents of Parkside Manor and Doug Mezenen, all of whom brightened her life in the last few years.
