Taufa Kaufusi

    Taufa Mate Kaufusi, age 71, of Roosevelt, Utah returned to his Heavenly Father, the morning of October 13, 2020.
    He was born on February 1, 1949 in Vava’u Tonga to Sione and Akosita Kaufusi. He lived a beautiful life full of love and service to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He held many callings within the church including counselor to the bishop, Sunday school presidency, and serving a full-time mission. He was a humble man who always showed his love for Heavenly Father.
    As a son, brother, and father he always loved and cared for his family. He was an intelligent, hardworking man, that had a smile that could warm anyone’s heart. He was a kind and loving husband to his wife Mele of 29 years.
    He is survived by his wife Mele Kaufusi and 11 kids, Mele Lily, Ana Moala, Kalisi Lata I Loloma, Akosita Oliveti, Sione Mate, Sosaia Malafu, Solomone Otani (Tiffany), Lavili I Utahna (Jesse), George Ivanhoe (Oliana), Paul Vailea (Angi), Atwood Taufa; he was also grandfather to 36 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at the Roosevelt East Stake Center.  A viewing will be held that morning from 10:30 - 12:15.  
    Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
