Stuart Wade Mojado, also known as “Swade,” was a 34-year-old from Roosevelt, Utah, and a proud direct descendant of the Ute Indian Tribe of the Uintah and Ouray Reservation. He passed away on December 3, 2024 in Ballard, Utah.
Born on June 7, 1990, he spent most of his life in Fort Duchesne, Utah, and frequently traveled between Pala, California, where his Mojado family is from and back. His surname, Mojado, traces back to Ayuvoo, a name rooted in the Cupeño Tribe of Pala, California, from his father’s side.
Stuart was an adventurous soul who loved traveling and spending time riding ATVs across his beloved home terrain. He cherished hunting season, enjoying the companionship of family and friends while shooting target practice, laughing, and sharing stories under Utah’s open skies. Known for his humility and good-natured humor, Stuart had a knack for lighting up any gathering with his grin, friendly jokes, and easygoing personality, making him a beloved friend to all. Stuart was a hardworking individual who found fulfillment in the steady rhythm of honest work, taking jobs out of state and around the basin. At home, he was a dependable helper to his mother, caring for the animals and keeping things in order.
Music was a constant in his life, bringing joy to those around him. Whether crafting thoughtful lyrics or delivering playful freestyles, his talent for wordplay inspired laughter and left everyone eagerly anticipating his next verse.
Stuart is survived by his mother, Loretta C. Mojado, his siblings, Francis, Katherine, Chanel, Christen, Alan, Murdoc, Shane, and TaSheena, along with numerous uncles, aunts, countless cousins, and a wide circle of cherished friends who will always hold his memory close.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alan “Mad Dog” Mojado; auntie, LuAnn Arvisio; his paternal grandparents, Gilbert Leonard and Gwendolyn Murdock Mojado; and his maternal grandparents, Ramon Raymond and Bessie Saknikent Cesspooch. Funeral services will be held at the Randlett Community Building on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 10:00 AM. A wake will take place on Monday, December 9, at 3:00 PM at the Randlett Community Building
Burial in the Randlett Cemetery.
Stuart will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
