Stanley Glen Potter, age 57, of Roosevelt, passed away January 9, 2015, at his home after a short battle with leukemia.
He was born September 14, 1957, in Roosevelt, to Lawrence and Elma Alice Young Potter. He married Carol Stansfield, and they later divorced. He married Jeanie Marie Lisonbee in the Vernal, Utah Temple. She was killed in an automobile accident. He married Monique Osborn Lamb on March 27, 2009, in Roosevelt.
Stanley worked as a truck driver for Burdick Paving and Construction company. He was a perfectionist in everything he did. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, being in the outdoors, and was an excellent carpenter.
He adored his kids and grandkids -- they were the love of his life. He had great fun teasing them, and having pillow and water fights with them.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Monique, Roosevelt; children, Kenny (Sondra) Potter, Trudy (Jay) Rich, both of Vernal; Brandon (Tiffany) Potter, Roosevelt; step-children, Justin Osborn (Danette Green), Raechel Lamb, both of Roosevelt; Jerimiah (Alyssa) Lamb, Logan; Gideon (Tara) Lamb, Vernal; Tristyn Lamb, Roosevelt; Travis (Kari) Beckstead, Idaho; 8 grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; sisters, Charlene (Dan) Collier, Vernal; Lorna (Ron Hamp) Niederhauser, Salt Lake City; Saundra (Ernie) Wright, West Valley City; sister-in-law, Joan Potter, Myton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Potter; parents Lawrence and Elma; wife, Jeanie; brothers, Kenneth Potter, Gail Potter; sister, Glenda Potter, and great nephew, Jake Rasmussen.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the 7th Ward LDS Chapel in Neola. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery in Vernal.
