Stan Ostrowski was born in Miodowarce, Poland on May 8th, 1935.
Stan and his family survived WWII Poland and immigrated to the US in 1945 soon after his 10th birthday. The family originally lived in New York City.
Stan joined the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in 1953 and served through 1957 where he earned the rank of Sergeant and was decorated as a Marksman. He moved to Gusher in 1970 and was the builder and original purveyor of the once popular Chuck Wagon Café of Gusher. He was a skilled craftsman and an inventor who held Patents in multiple countries related to his long-term effort to build the Hummingbird Helicopter.
Stan is survived by his three children Kirk, Shaugn, and Laura and long-term sweetheart Jolene Rasmussen.
A visitation will be held at the Hullinger Mortuary on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Military honors will be presented at 4:00 in front of the mortuary by the American Legion and Marine Honor Guard.
