Sheryl Darlene Foster, age 58, of Ballard, passed away December 13, 2015, in Salt Lake City.
She was born April 23, 1957, in Denver, to Darrell Arlen and Carma Colleen Reed Gardner. She married James Joseph Foster on May 5, 1973, in Roosevelt.
Sheryl was a loving and caring mother who adored her family, especially her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very traditional Native American woman who enjoyed doing beadwork, collecting diamonds and coins, and traveling when she could. She liked to watch Native American movies, was a boxing fan, and donated to many charitable organizations. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Sheryl is survived by her husband of 43 years, James; a son, Jim (Bobbi) Foster, a daughter, Robin Foster, all of Ballard; grandchildren, Dylann, AJ, Collin, Jaycee, Kendlee, Tiffany, Nicholas (Carly), Mathew Foster; great-grandchildren, Lili & Mahlia; brothers and sisters, Ilona (Johnny) Slim, Roosevelt; Evelda (Jerry) Rasmussen, Farmcreek; Edson Gardner (Lynda Kozlowicz), Randlett; Treena Gardner (Zane Tahguv), Ft. Duchesne; David Gardner, Duchesne; Yvette (Joe) Christensen, Ft. Duchesne; Natasha Gardner, Roger (Lee) Gardner; Tonya Gardner, all of Farmcreek; Gary Gardner, Salt Lake City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, Darrell, Jr.; James, Dawn, April; and nephews, Darrell III, Russell Gardner, and Sonny Yazzie.
A Celebration of Life and dinner will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the home of her sister, Ilona Slim, 59 West 300 North, Roosevelt.
