Sharon Lee Huff, age 79, of Roosevelt, passed away January 10, 2024, of natural causes.
She was born July 14, 1944, in San Diego, California, to Jim and Thelma Herndon Slade. In 1965 she married Alfred Jefferson Cosson, they shortly welcomed 4 children and they later divorced. She married Harold “Hal” Huff on November 21, 1992, in Taylorsville, Utah.
Sharon loved helping others and carried it on as a profession where she worked as a retail clerk at Auerbach’s, ZCMI, and not even hip surgery slowed her down. She was passionate about her family and loved them fiercely, being a mother and loving wife was always a priority to her. Sharon had many interests and hobbies; she enjoyed making greeting cards for every occasion, crocheting, and genealogy. She was a one of a kind person who never forgot a birthday, made sure every new baby had a blanket and loved serving her loved ones and members of her church. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings.
Sharon is survived by her children, Debra Lynn Cosson (Albert Dixon), Taylorsville; Donovan (Denise) Cosson, Pottsboro, Texas; Nicole (Michael) Woodbury, Santaquin, Utah; Brian (Tristana) Cosson, Pottsboro, Texas; step-daughter, Heidi Kolden, Castro Valley, California; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, Brother in law; Oliver Thieme, Orange Grove, Texas. Best friend since her youth, Mary Christensen White. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Donna Rae Chadwick, Brenda Schultz; step-son, Dwayne Huff; Sister-in-law, Doris Thieme; and brother-in-law, Dennis Huff.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt Stake Center (447 E Lagoon St.). Viewings will be held Sunday evening at the Hullinger Mortuary (457 E 300 N) from 5:00 - 7:00 p..m. and Monday at the church from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. Burial will be at Valley View Memorial Park (4335 W 4100 S) in West Valley City at 3:00 p.m.
Sharon’s family would like to thank the staff at the Uintah Basin Senior Villa for the endless love, support and care that was shown throughout her stay.
