Sharon Foote

Sharon McKee Foote, age 64, of Neola, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City due to internal health complications.
She was born December 13, 1952, to Loren and Merle Cook McKee . She comes from a close-knit family of eleven siblings and was raised on a dairy farm in Tridell.  She has remained close to her family and many of her childhood friends and relatives.
Sharon married Carl Foote and together they raised five children and have seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a fun-loving wife, sister, neighbor, friend, mother, daughter, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends, liked to have fun, and bring her family together for games and Sunday dinners. She aimed to look at the positive in life. She found every opportunity to love her friends and family, and to spoil her grandchildren even more. She made home what home is: a place of love. “Home sweet home.”
Sharon had a take-life-as-it-comes type of personality. She was a hoot, wasn't above making fun of herself, or missing an interstate exit. Those who have had the privilege of knowing her, just can't help but miss and love her.
Sharon liked to play sports, namely volleyball and softball, and kept herself active for as long as her body would allow. She could walk up the hill faster than many could jog it. She never stopped, much like the Energizer Bunny. She liked to travel when she could, enjoyed history, and read historical fiction. She spent countless hours serving her church and community any way that she could. Sharon spent her life’s career working to spice up the world with the love of home and home decor. She helped people love each other by providing floral arrangements and decorations as she worked and managed the local floral. Sharon laughed when it was pointed out that she had over twenty-six different decorative clocks throughout her home and seventy something different floral arrangements. Sharon was unique. She wasn't much for keeping track, she just wanted home to feel like home. This was her personality, this was Sharon. Sharon made people happy. We will all miss her and her loving touch. As her health grew dim, in her final week, she emphasized, “Never underestimate the healing power of human touch.” The world is a better place because of her; she will be dearly missed. May we remember her, her love and sacrifice, and best of all, her beautiful flowers.
Sharon is survived by her husband Carl Foote; their children: Kelly (James) Ekstrom, Melissa (Christopher) Marx, Brian (Jaqueline) Foote, Duane (Jami) Foote, Linsey (Benjamin) Justice; her siblings: Rondal, Gwena, Lynn, Lorene, Merlin, Viola, Roslie, David, Dale, Brent; and their respective spouses; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Loren McKee, and mother, Merle Cook.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the Neola LDS Chapel at 11:00 a.m.  Viewings will be Friday at the church  from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Neola Cemetery.
