Sharlynn Nicose Manning Baca, age 38, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Whiterocks, Utah passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at a hospital in New Mexico.  
    She was born on January 24, 1984, in Roosevelt, to Chanel Martinez and Anson Manning, one of nine children.  She met her husband in the United States Marine Corps. She married Joseph Baca on June 21, 2008, and they had four children.
     Sharlynn was a warrior, she visited many countries. She was a decorated Marine with multiple deployments to combat zones on behalf of our country.  Very few people can say they did what she did. 
    She was many things but above all, she was a mother. She gave all she could to her children and others. She was a selfless woman who took care of so many people.  She enjoyed watching movies, cooking, going to the casino with her husband, and spending time with her family, and friends. We all miss her so much. 
    Sharlynn is survived by her husband, Joe; her children, Ravenmoon, Leeandra, Jonas, and Isabel; her parents, Anson Manning & Chanel Martinez; siblings Katie, Prettysky, Delano and Haven; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 
    She was preceded in death by her siblings, Nazareth, Les, Otis, and Heaven; grandparents, Nancy & Gerald Martinez; Albert “Beaver” Manning, and Delores Arrowchis.
    Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the John Harmes Cemetery in Whiterocks.  She will have a wake at Tracie Manning’s home in Ft. Duchesne on Monday after 4:00 p.m.
    Burial will be in the John Harmes Cemetery in Whiterocks with Military Honors.
