Sharilyn Harper

September 22, 1958 — January 29, 2025

Vernal

Sharilyn Harper, age 66, of Vernal, passed away on January 29, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

She was born September 22, 1958, in Basin (Greybull), Wyoming, to George C. Harper and DeeAnn Douglas Harper. She grew up in Wyoming, and she later settled in Bridger Valley Wyoming.

She met Mike Hernandez (Torrington, Wyoming), and they were married in 1977. Three children came from that marriage: Daniel P, Dominique P, and Dessa P. They later divorced. In 1986, she met Walter “Buck” Wilkinson (Louisiana), and they married in 1988. They had one child, Dustin G Wilkinson, and they later divorced. She later had a companion, Kevin “Scruffy” Kilduff, for many years.

Sharilyn loved life and it was a wild ride. She loved her children unconditionally and they meant everything to her. She loved horses, Harley’s, and the New Orleans Saints (“Who Dat?”). She loved her family and all her friends, near and far.

Sharilyn lived all over the country. She enjoyed every minute and wouldn't change it for the world.

In 2020, she moved to Vernal, Utah, to live her best life with her two dogs, Pookie and Baloo. She was excited to welcome her first great-grand baby into the world, and has since been able to love him prior to his entrance.

She is survived by her mother, DeeAnn (Donald) Lassle; siblings Marilyn (Dan) Watson, Terry G. “Bud” (Denise) Harper; half-brother, Jeff Horsley; half-sister, Victoria Ralston; children, Daniel P. (Hannah) Hernandez, Dominique P. (Bessie) Hernandez, Dessa P. (Murray) Bond, Dustin G. (Kayla) Wilkinson; grandchildren, Jordan, Shylo, Harley, Kaleb, Alexis, Ruben, Teslin, Doyle, Kadus, Ella, and Ryot; great-grandchild, Raef Kannon; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, George C. Harper, brother, Justin D. Harper, first husband, Michael P. Hernandez, niece, Kaitlyn (Utley) Smith, and nephew, Tristin Peden.
