Shareen “Beenie” Nicole Wissiup Copperfield, age 46, of Ft. Duchesne, died on September 26, 2022, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center after battling an illness.
Shareen was born on January 26, 1976, in Roosevelt, to Chico and Sharon LaRose Wissiup. She married Lionel Copperfield in 1998.
Shareen graduated from Uintah High School and then attended the United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, North Dakota, where she earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business. She worked for the Uintah and Ouray Indian Tribe and cared for many people as a clerk and receptionist in the Education Department.
She was an active member of the Community Pentecostal Church, and loved attending revivals and ministering to other reservations. Her greatest love in life was her family. She was known for encouraging them and giving them advice without a filter. She liked to make people laugh. Shareen enjoyed watching wrestling, listening to country music, reading, caring for animals, and eating - especially the clam chowder at Frontier Grill. She will be remembered as a generous person.
She is survived by her husband, Lionel, children, Elijah and Rosel, step-children, Dreena (Manuel) Kenton, Nakesha, and Andrew Copperfield, 8 grandchildren, and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, step-son, Christopher Copperfield, step-daughter, Shayleen Copperfield, and many other relations.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Community Pentecostal Church. A wake will not be held.
Burial in the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at the Ft. Duchesne Community Building.
