Shannon E Morris, age 67, returned to her Heavenly Father on May 13, 2022 after a short and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma (cancer) and kidney failure.
Shannon was born December 2, 1954 to Frederick James and Norma Bell Cole in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up in the East Millcreek area of Salt Lake City. She married Douglas T. Burke Sr, they had three children. They later divorced. She married Harold D Morris in September 1995.
Shannon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in many callings in the church. Shannon loved camping and fishing. She worked at Uintah Basin Medical Center in Dietary Services for many years and enjoyed serving the staff and patients. Shannon loved her family dearly and treated her step-children and step-grandchildren as her own.
She is survived by her husband, Harold D Morris, her brother, Frederick (Robyn) Cole, her daughter, Angie (Branden) Draper, her son, Douglas (Melissa) Burke, her daughter, Lindsay (Trefley Raza) Morris, stepsons, Andy (Andrea) Morris, Davie Morris, stepdaughter, Mellisa (Chase) Martin , grandchildren, Colton, Mindy, Maria, Kikx, Kyle, Cole, Kennedy, Niqlas, Aaralyn, Aarabella, Maddie, Orion, Indiana, Shaun, Kendall, Tyler and several great grandchildren.
Shannon was preceded in death by her father, Frederick James Cole, her mother, Norma Bell Gatherum Cole, her sister, Frena Claudette Wilkerson, and her sister, Kathleen Meeks.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Myton Chapel. Viewings will be held on Thursday evening at the Hullinger Mortuary from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Friday at the church from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive in Millcreek at 2 :30 p.m.
