Our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, SannaLee Edrington Hennefer, age 57, of Vernal, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2022 surrounded by family.
She was the youngest of 7 children, born October 30, 1964, in St Anthony, Idaho to LaMar Kay and Josephine Beth Bell Edrington. She graduated from Skyview High School in 1983 and went on to marry her college sweetheart, Kenny Hennefer, on December 15, 1984 in the Jordan River Temple. Together they raised four daughters: Kenna, Sanna, Josephine and Bell.
SannaLee was devoted to her family, creating a safe-haven for all of her children, as well as being a “military wife,” supporting Kenny in his service with the Army and National Guard. She was a “best friend” personality, full of life and energy that was contagious to all she came in contact with.
SannaLee served faithfully as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in various callings, including: Relief Society and Primary presidencies, Community Coordinator, Chorister, and as a dutiful Ministering Sister. Her testimony in Christ was subtle, powerful, and encouraging to everyone who needed an advocate and listening ear.
SannaLee is survived by her husband, Kenneth J. Hennefer; daughters, Kenna Jean (Mathias) Rieske, Sanna Marie (Robert) Pedersen, Josephine Jan (Robert) Moellmer, Jordan Bell (Miguel) Perez; 3 grandchildren; her mother, Josephine Beth Edrington; brothers, Scott Bell (Amy), Cody Cash (Gail), Ches Cord (Sallie); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, LaMar; her sisters, JoDeene and Rona
Kaye Edrington; and a brother, Hank Wyatt Edrington.
SannaLee truly was a “best friend” to all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed. Everyone who had the pleasure to share a laugh with her can say that they’ve been buoyed up, strengthened, and encouraged along their path.
She will be buried at the Roosevelt Memorial Park on July 29, 2022.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Glines 1st Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (495 W 100 S Vernal UT 84078).
We wish to extend thanks to everyone who visited SannaLee and family, providing support and help while in her last days. A special thank-you to the entire staff and nurses at Intermountain Hospice. Their expertise, kindness and prompt actions provided great comfort to SannaLee and her family in her last days.
