Samuel Logan Reid, age 81, of Fruitland, passed away October 26, 2016, peacefully at his home surrounded by family.
He was born December 26, 1934, in Russellville, Kentucky, to Samuel Wesley and Mamie Gladys Reneau.
He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper during active war time which carried over to the love of sky diving. In his younger days, he drove dune-buggies and motorcycles, even riding his Harley in full leathers in various parades. He always had a Weimaraner dog at his side, all with the beloved name of "Blue."
Samuel is survived by his children, Sheryl, Stewart Wesley, Stephen Gregory, Sheridan Christopher, Serena, & Angela Marie Reid, Nancy Jane Reid, grandchildren, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Scott Reid.
Per his request no services will be held.
