Ruth Imogene Schmoldt

    Ruth Imogene Dobbs Schmoldt, age 88, of Duchesne, died and joined the Lord on June 24, 2020. Ruth passed peacefully at home with family members close by. Ruth was a loving wife and mother.
    Ruth was born as Ruth Dobbs on December 16, 1931 in Clinton, Illinois to Clarence and Sylvia Dobbs. Ruth was one of four sisters. She graduated from the College of Education in Chadron Nebraska  with a degree in Elementary Education.
    Ruth married Morris Raymond Schmoldt April 18, 1954. Morris and Ruth enjoyed 57 wonderful years together.  He passed away December 22, 2011.  During most of those years Ruth was a traditional housewife raising four children. Helping children was a passion for Ruth. She spent 19 years as a Foster Grandparent at the Duchesne Elementary School.
    Ruth is survived by four children; sons, Raymond Schmoldt and Randy Schmoldt, daughters, Kathy Roscoe and Karen Macintosh, plus multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Duchesne, 592 East 400 South, a viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m.
    Burial in the Duchesne City Cemetery.
