Roy Carlyle Ankerpont, Jr, age 71, of Randlett, passed away May 7, 2021 at the Sr. Villa with his family by his side.
Roy was born September 6, 1949 in Ft. Duchesne to Roy and Clara Santio Ankerpont.  He married Linda Marie Redfoot in the Vernal Temple on March 28, 2005.
Roy worked as a police officer, investigator for several agencies for many years.  He was very talented at drawing, loved life and joking and talking to others.  He was a sundancer.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Ankerpont, step-children, Cecil Cornpeach (Traditional Dan), Stanley Cornpeach, Holly Cornpeach (Theron Root), Samantha Cornpeach, 10 grandchildren, his sons, John Ankerpont, Christopher Ankerpont, adopted daughters, Kimberly, and Tara Ankerpont, and his dog, Brutus. his siblings, Geneva Ankerpont, Joliet Ignacio and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and his dogs, “Brutus” and “Minnie Taz.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Clara Ankerpont; siblings, Marjorie Tapoof, Raquel Ice, Elliott Ankerpont, Gene Ankerpont, Arden Post, Florence Mills, and two infant siblings,
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Randlett Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  A wake will be held on Sunday after 4:00 p.m. at his home.
Burial in the Ouray- Tabbee Cemetery with military honors presented.
