Rosemarie Mountainlion

Rosemarie Mountainlion, age 69, of Bridgeland, died on September 11, 2023, in Grand Junction, Colorado.
    Rosemarie was born on February 19, 1954, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Arthur  Mountainlion, Sr. and Frances W. Ankerpont
    Rosemarie always loved being active. As a young girl she played sports with her siblings and rode horses. She played basketball for Utah State University. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, and was the perfect “Hunter’s Wife.” She attended powwows and loved meeting new people. She liked to dance and sing.  She worked at the Ute Indian Tribe Headstart. 
    Rosemarie really liked to bead, sew, crochet, and cook – she was the best cook! She enjoyed going to casinos and buffets. She loved to spend time with her grandkids and visiting with her sisters.  
    Rosemarie is survived by her children, Coulsen Mountainlion, Joetta Bitsuie, Ardith (Brett) Holman; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; siblings, Glenda (Norman) Lopez, Jeanette Reed, Delena Mountainlion, Lisa Mountainlion, Byron Mountainlion, Jolyn Mountainlion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Frances; siblings,  Marshall, Coulsen, Robert, Raymond, & Gwendolyn Colorow; Jay, Teresa, Arthur Jr., and Gerald Mountainlion.  
    Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at her daughter, Joetta's, home, 10250 S 11000 W, Bridgeland, Utah.  There will be a wake at Joetta's home on Thursday after 4:00 p.m.
    Burial will be in the Bridgeland Cemetery.
