Roger Dean Tom

    Roger Dean Tom, age 65, of Rochester, Minnesota, formerly of Whiterocks, passed away September 6, 2017, at the Federal Medical Center in Minnesota.
    He was born December 9, 1951 in Roosevelt, to Glenn Tom Sr. and Mary Jane Ice Tom.
    Roger did well in school and even attended BYU for a time, where he was a cheerleader.  He was a ‘biker’, loved rock and roll music and once had a moose by the house that he had a wrestle with before he got chased back to the house.  He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, attending Bear Dances, Pow Wows & Sundances and was a Peyote man .  He enjoyed making art and crafts, and he made sandals that he sold.
    Roger is survived by his brothers and sisters, Glenn (Hilda) Tom, Jr., Roosevelt; Paulette Tom, Roosevelt; Bettina Tom, Valorie Tom, and Donovan Tom; with numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives, all whom he loved to be with.  
    Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the John Harmes Cemetery in Whiterocks.  He will be taken to the Whiterocks Community Building Monday at 4 PM for the Wake.
    He was loved by everyone and will be missed very much--Rest in Peace My Brother
