          Our wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Roberta Jenson Nielsen, age 84, of Duchesne, went to be with her loving husband Keith on July 26, 2022.

            Roberta was born along with her twin brother Robert on August 3, 1937 in Talmage, Utah to Joseph Calvin and Lorna Christensen Jenson.  Her brother Robert passed away when they were 5 years old.  She missed him dearly.

            She married Chester Johns and they had 3 children and later divorced. 

            She married Keith E Nielsen on November 24, 1975 in Manila, Utah.  They were sealed for time and eternity on November 24, 1981 in the Salt Lake Temple.  Keith passed away February 14, 2006.

            Mom was a dedicated wife and mother.  She always loved having her children and grandchildren with her on holidays.  She was known for making the best cranberry sauce and always made extra so her family could take some home.

            She was raised in Talmage with 12 of her 14 siblings.  She loved growing up in Talmage on the farm.

            She lived in Salt Lake City for a while, working in hospitals and other jobs to support her 3 children.  She moved to Duchesne where she met and married Keith.  She loved helping people and often helped elderly friends with errands. 

            Mom worked for UBAG in the Foster Grandparents Programs for 24 years.  She worked at Duchesne Elementary helping several teachers with the children.  Grandma Nielsen will be missed by so many children who still love her.  During this time of service she received many awards. 

            Roberta was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served in many callings, including Primary and Relief Society presidencies.

            She is survived by her children, Jack (Camie) Johns, Farmington, NM; Nancy Bird, Duchesne; Kimberly (Kyle) Edrington, Roosevelt; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, her siblings, Dallas, Eugene, LaVern, Leola, Maxine and Dena.

            Her best friend Dorothy Ivie and many more family and friends who loved her dearly.

            She was preceded in death by her husband Keith, both her parents and siblings, Arnold, Robert, Reed, Leslie, Betty, Beverly, Luella, baby girl Jenson and granddaughter-in-law, Scottie Edrington.. 

            Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 1^st at 11:00 a.m. at the Duchesne 1^st & 3^rd Ward Chapel.  A viewing will be held from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.

            Burial in the Duchesne City Cemetery under the direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
