Roberta Fouts

    Roberta Marie Burns Fouts, age 76, of Myton, passed away December 27, 2016, at the Uintah Basin Sr. Villa.
    She was born December 13, 1940, in Ft. Duchesne, to Robert Virgil and Velora Jeanette LaRose Burns.  She married Alec “Butch” Fouts on August 29, 1973, in Battle Mountain, Nevada.  She was a member of the Shoshone Bannock Tribe.  
    Roberta was a self-taught musician who played with the “Old Time Fiddlers” and could play just about any instrument.  She did excellent beadwork and made many Papoose Boards.  In her younger days, she enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, bowling, and softball.  
    She had a great sense of humor and could be quite fiesty.  Her husband, children, and grandchildren, were the joys of her life.  
    Roberta is survived by her husband, Butch, of Myton; children, Gene Marie (Leon) Morris, Vernal; Carl (Stephanie) Christensen, Whiterocks; Joe (Yvette) Christensen, Whiterocks Road; Adam Christensen, Salt Lake City; Chipita (Veldon) Rowley, Roosevelt; 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Valerie) Burns, Rodney Burns, a sister, Bobleen (Eldon) Burns, all of Ft. Hall, ID; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Bert Christensen; grandsons, Daniel Rowley & Jamie Dean Morris; brother, Virgil Burns; and a granddaughter, Franchesca Christensen.      Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary.  There will be a viewing on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  
    In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name at Zions Bank.
