Robert Lynn Womack, age 70, of Washington, Utah, formerly of Roosevelt, passed away in his sleep on January 31, 2024.
He was born May 18, 1953, in Roosevelt, to Stanley Ivan, Sr. and Cuba Cleo Peterson Womack. He was raised on the family farm in Independence, Utah with his 4 brothers & 2 sisters. He was the 2nd to the oldest in the family. When he was younger he had kidney disease and wasn’t expected to live long. But he beat it and lived for many more years.
He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Reno Nevada Mission from 1972-1974. He met the love of his life Lorie Evans and they where married October 11, 2003 in the Vernal Temple.
Robert worked for Bradshaw Auto Parts, and then went to work for K & K for over 30 years driving a garbage truck. After moving to St. George, he drove a bus for the Senior Center, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He loved to travel, especially on cruise ships. He and Lorie had been all over the Carribean, Alaska, Canada, and the New England Coast. When he was younger, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Robert is survived by his wife, Lorie, of Washington; siblings, Stanley (Renee) Womack, Jr., Ballard; Don (Debra) Womack, Independence, Utah; Ken (Pam) Womack, currently serving a mission in Atlanta, Georgia; Dan (Paula) Womack, Roosevelt; Connie Arrowchis, Whiterocks; Kamme (Fred) Bartlett, Duchesne; mother-in-law, Beverly Evans, Washington; brother-in-law, James (Marilee) Evans, Texas; numerous nieces & nephews and great & great-great nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Michael Arrowchis, Sr., great-niece, McKenzie Nielsen; nephew, Michael Arrowchis, Jr., niece, Buffy Arrowchis, and father-in-law, Stephen Evans.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ballard Chapel. There will be a viewing at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
