Ritchie Stubbs, Jr

Junior Ritchie Stubbs, age 81, of Roosevelt, passed away April 5, 2016, at the Uintah Basin Sr. Villa.
He was born October 4, 1934, in Vernal, to John Ritchie and Pearl Sarah Massey Stubbs. He was married to Frances Lou Jenkins, and they later divorced. He married Luz Amanda Estrada in Mexico on August 20, 2002.
Ritchie worked in and extremely enjoyed the trucking business. He was a jack-of-all-trades and could do just about anything. Before retirement, he was working as a field supervisor for Tracy Monk's construction company. He had a knack for fixing any motor and would build the tools he needed, if he didn't have it. He taught his family how to work and taught his children & grandchildren how to repair and drive vehicles before they were out of grade school. He enjoyed fishing, and swimming.
Ritchie is survived by his wife, Amanda, Roosevelt. Children: Brent R (Linda), Brion John (Pat), both of Vernal; Brenda Lou Stubbs, Beverly Berrett, Bart Franklin (Lisa), Brigitte Townsend, all of Roosevelt; Britt (Stephanie), Vernal; Karly (David) Atwood, Seattle, WA; Kimberly (Brandin) Daybell, Vernal; Corbet Glenn (Melissa Higgins), Tooele; Ashley (Raymond) Davis, Roosevelt; 50 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Barbara (Junius) Southam; Van (Joyce), both of Vernal; Carolyn (Norman) Jenkins, Duchesne; Sterling (Wendey), Margaret Harrell, David (Lurene), all of Vernal; Daniel (Mary Ellen), Cedar City; Debby (Don) Lytle, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Nadine Lytle & Rhea Stubbs.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt 1st and 4th Ward LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and from 10-10:45 a.m. Friday at the church.
Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
