On November 29, 2016, Reva Jenkins Workman, age 92, of Roosevelt, was called back to her Heavenly home to be reunited once again with her husband, children, and family.
She was born February 7, 1924, in Lapoint, to David Franklin and Nancy Mabel Harrison Jenkins. She married Eugene Workman on January 17, 1942, in Preston Idaho. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 9, 1959. They had five children. Gene passed away January 27, 1996.
Reva and Gene worked for many years as custodians for the LDS Church. She really enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping with her family. She was a member of a lady’s bowling league and won various trophies. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan and she and her friends would get together to watch the game and play cards. She was on a city league softball team for many years. She loved her family and will be dearly missed.
Reva is survived by her children, Nancy Jane Kohutek, Janet Caywood, and Lynn Eugene (Ann) Workman; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Francis Lou (Ray) Wardle; a brother, Jack (Donna) Edwin Jenkins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; two children, Reva Jean and Arvo; and siblings, David Peter Jenkins, Lila Maude Jenkins, Pearl Jenkins Preece, Earl Harrison Jenkins, Merl Marie Jenkins Horrocks, Frank Wesley Jenkins, and Rex Thomas Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held on December 3, 2016, at 12:00 noon, at the Roosevelt 1st and 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 32 South State Street, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 that morning.
Burial will be in the Lapoint Cemetery
