Renae Postma

Renae B. Woodland Postma, age 59, of Roosevelt, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2016, from long-term illnesses.
She was born October 2, 1956, in Nyssa, Oregon, to Garald Joseph and Elsa Lorraine Sanders Woodland. She graduated in 1974 from Orem High School. She married Guy Wade Weakland and later divorced. She married the love of her life, James Joseph Postma, on October 10, 2014, in Ballard.
Renae has worked as an administrative assistant and as a waitress at the Frontier Grill. Most recently she was a cashier at Crumbo's convenient store where she loved visiting with everyone that came in. She enjoyed barbeques with friends, camping, hunting, fishing, reading, and a fondness for Diet Pepsi, chocolate, and lighthouses. She was a beautiful, spirited, and strong woman with a tender heart and a loyalty to friends. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and always enjoyed watching Disney movies with them.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully as a primary teacher, a visiting teacher, and assistant Girls Camp leader. She loved the children she taught and the sisters she came to know through visiting teaching.
Renae is survived by her husband Jimmie Postma, Roosevelt; children, Stephen (Susan) Wood, ND; John (Carol) Wood, Roosevelt; Stephanie Van, Tooele; Cari Murray, Tooele; Leslie (Chet) Huber, Myton; Joseph (Vanya) Postma, ND; 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; step-mother, Sherrie Woodland, Roosevelt; brothers and sisters, Tami (Dickson) Taylor, Roosevelt; Jodi (Bruce) Taylor, Roosevelt; Joe (Donna) Woodland, Goshen; Paul (Erin) Woodland, Spanish Fork; Russell (Cary) Woodland, Goshen; Kirstine ( Dan) Clark, Lehi; Katherine (Dale) Mohlman, Newton; Jacob (Danille) Woodland, Roosevelt; Jonathan (Tamaran) Woodland, Salt Lake City; Shaun (Shirley) Chapoose, JaNae Pike, Michelle Chapoose, all of Ft. Duchesne; Dixon Chapoose, Vernal; Connor (Amy) Chapoose, Riverside, CA; and a special dog, Sally.
Renae was preceded in death by her parents, Elsa and Garald "Gary"; and a nephew, Alex Woodland.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ballard LDS Chapel. A viewing will be held at the Hullinger Mortuary on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and from 10-10:45 a.m. Friday at the church.
Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
