Rebecka Denney Milne, age 20, graduated from her Earthly life, and Heaven has received a truly angelic young lady. On Thursday, June 23, 2022 Becka passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with a very rare and aggressive cancer.
Becka was born October 12, 2001, daughter of Gayleen Taylor Denney and Ronald Lee Denney; little sister to Alaina. She came to Earth full of personality! Becka is joy and sunshine all rolled up in love and creativity. To know Becka is to love Becka. As a child, and throughout her entire life, she had a love for flowers! She learned each one by name. She loved tiny things, and she looked at the tiny details of everything she touched. Most especially, Becka loved people! And she showed that love to everyone around her.
Becka was always in a hurry to experience everything and had a hunger to learn. She learned to read at the age of 3, alongside her older sister. This enthusiasm for excellence in learning continued throughout her secular schooling. She attended elementary at the Thomas Edison Charter School in North Logan, Utah, followed by Duchesne Elementary, then on to Duchesne Middle and High school, where she graduated valedictorian. She then attended Utah State University, studying Business Administration and continuing her 4.0 grades.
Becka is so talented! She plays the piano and sings. She sang solos and also sang in choirs, and had leading roles in many high school musicals. Becka is a talented artist, using her creativity to show love and to serve others. Becka also developed a love for service. This gift truly was developed as she served as a student ambassador for HOBY Utah (Hugh O’Brian Youth leadership), then returning yearly as staff. She truly etched service into her soul.
Becka is a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings, including being Relief Society President at age 18. She shared her testimony of the gospel by the way she lived, loved, and served everyone around her. She loves her Savior, Jesus Christ.
On April 15, 2022, Becka married her true love and best friend, Cameron Kyle Milne, in the Logan, Utah Temple. They were sealed for time and all eternity, securing an everlasting future together. Their love withstands this illness and will last forever.
Becka is survived by her husband, Cameron Kyle Milne; mother, Gayleen Taylor Denney; father, Ronald Lee Denney; sister, Alaina Denney; grandmother, Terry Denney-Combs; and a large extended family, all of whom love her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur LeRoy & KaraLyn Taylor and Gary Lee Denney.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at the Duchesne Stake Center in Duchesne, Utah.
