Raycita Quinn

Raycita Cuch Quinn, age 53, of Vernal, passed away January 1, 2025, at her home.

 She was born July 15, 1971, in Roosevelt, to Elwin Polacca and Jeannitta Rayma Cuch and was raised by her aunt, Marion Serawop. 

 Raycita was a hard worker and had worked as a driver for the Ute Indian Tribe, was a teacher at the Ute Tribe Head Start and Eagle View Elementary, and was a cashier at the Ute Plaza and the Painted Pony. She was a happy person who loved to laugh. She was an avid Raiders fan, adored shopping, had a passion for Legos, and liked to travel and go fishing. She collected mini figurine sets and Star Wars memorabilia, and enjoyed doing crafts and beadwork. Her granddaughter was the love of her life and spoiling her was her #1 priority. She had various fur babies and a turtle that she considered children as well.

 Raycita is survived by her children, Antonia Quinn (Blair House, Jr.), Towaoc, Colorado; Anfernee Black, Vernal; Iona Black (Dakota Malone), Vernal; granddaughter, Harley Quinn House; her father, Elwin; her brother, Quinton (Rosetta) Serawop, Whiterocks; Maloree Serawop, Ft. Duchesne; Chandale Cornpeach; nieces and nephews, Christian, Vincent, Paris, David, James, Vanessa, Marcus Quinn; her very best friend, Kenna Benson; grandmother, Ina Jane Nephi; aunties, Marion Serawop, Dolly Cuch, Tissy Cuch, RozeAnn Myore, Delana Redfoot, Jolene (Richard) Powwegup; uncles, Phillip Chimburas, Adelbert Tavashutz; cousin, Alverna (Brian) Nelson; and her turtle, Donatello Quinn Black. 

 She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeannitta; brother, Greg Quinn, Jan Michael Serawop, Everett Duncan; grandmother, Ruth Quinn; and grandfather, Marion Ray Cuch.

 Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the Whiterocks Community Building. There will be a wake at Marion Serawop’s home (7685 E 7050 S, Ft. Duchesne, UT) after 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

 Burial will be in the Red Knoll Cemetery.
