Poul Hoffmann Larsen, age 37, of Duchesne, died on November 24, 2023, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born October 25, 1986, in West Valley City, to Rene Larsen and Tammy Mayes.
Poul worked as a welder for an oil field tanker building company. He always had to go on his adventures and needed a walking stick or, “a sword,” as he termed it. He really enjoyed archery and had his “Zombie Survival Bag” with him at all times. He was a free-spirit, strong-willed, always had a smile – even through hard times– and had the biggest heart – he would go without before he’d let any friends or family suffer. He had a great fondness for fires, anything shiny, and all things Viking.
He loved his daughter very much, and could sit & talk with his mom for hours – he knew she would always be there and love him unconditionally. His nieces and nephews were well taken care of by him and his favorite saying, which is now even more appropriate, is “See you later...never goodbye!”
Poul is survived by his children, Adeliese Larsen, Ashley & Jordan Larsen-Morgan; parents, Tammy Mayes (Blaine Killian), Duchesne; Rene Larsen, Salt Lake City; siblings, Lasse (Lisa) Larsen; “Big Little Sister” Cassandra Mayes (Joseph Duncan), Brandi Richins, Kasey Staker, Gabriel (Sarah) Larsen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jorgen & Nina Larsen; and Ida Mae Davies Mayes & Alfred Leon Mayes, Sr.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Duchesne Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 901 N 500 E St, Duchesne, UT 84021.
Per his wishes, he was cremated.
