Peggy Bastian Rust

Peggy B. Rust, age 68, of Altonah, passed away October 2, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer.
She was born April 1, 1948, in Roosevelt, to Curtis Fernando and Alvira "Vie" Leavitt Bastian. She married Blake Rust on May 10, 1968, in Neola.
Peggy was a rancher at heart and always took care of their ranch in Altonah. She also owned several racehorses which she took great pride in. Her biggest love were her kids and grandkids whom she coached or followed all over watching and supporting them in sports or other events. She often had one or more grandkids at her side. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by the love of her life of almost 50 years, Blake; a daughter, Terri Rust (John Martinez); a son, A.C. (Sandy) Rust; grandchildren, Morgan Martinez; Parker, Cooper, Riley, Thatcher, & Duncan Rust, all of Altamont; sisters, Kay (DeLance) Allred, Neola; Nita (Darrell) Osborne, Fountain Green; Jill (Dave) Johnson, Shoshone, ID; and a brother, Kim (Robin) Bastian, Neola.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Vie.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at the Mountain Home LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church.
