Patti A. Knight

Patti A. Knight, age 64, of Roosevelt, Utah, passed away May 26, 2023, at her home with family by her side. 
    She was born January 20, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Kee and Shirley Thompson Adakai.  In 1975,  Patti married her true love, Randy L. Knight.  They had two beautiful kids: a daughter, Patricia, and a son, Dale, who passed away in 2011.  Not only to survive hardships and conquer marriage, they really made forty-seven years look easy and beautiful.  To have your best friend by your side through thick and thin is the most amazing and beautiful way to have your journey.
     Patti was truly a very kind soul who always thought of her family first and always wanted them to be happy.
    Because of the many years she lived in the Uintah Basin, it seemed that every time she would be out and about, she always ran into someone she knew.  They would talk, laugh and enjoy each other’s company.  She really did have a heart of gold and a welcoming smile.  In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling at the Ute Lanes with her league.  
    Patti worked at Carlson Cleaners, were she met a lot of new faces who ended up being a friend.  She then worked at Stewart's Care Center were she made more friends and was sad to say goodbye when she retired.
    Even though retired and being home, she had her kids and grandkids that often stopped by, ran errands and would just visit with their mom and grandma.  She enjoyed every single minute with them.
    Patti had her very last four-legged companion that she loved and cherished,  Izzy, a 110 pound Doberman.  Izzy learned very quickly just how spoiled she was when her “mama” made the best-ever grilled cheese sandwich especially for her.  Patti truly loved that old girl who is no longer with us.
    Patti is survived by her husband, Randy; her daughter Patricia, Patricia’s husband and favorite son-in-law, Steven Rogers;  a favorite daughter-in-law, Shalee Knight; five grandchildren, Joseph & Amber Hopes; Angel, Jaiva, & Josie Knight; one great-grandchild, Breven Montgomery; sisters Cathi (Tim) Markin, Darla Johnson, both of California; Freida Williams, Alaska; mother Shirley Christinsen, California; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her son,Dale Ben Knight. 
    Patti will be cremated per her wishes and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  
    Thank you to all who helped with Patti at the UBMC, Care Center and Hospice.  Thank you all for being wonderful to our mother and wife.
