After a long struggle with poor health, Patsy Barrus Wardle, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024 at the Sr. Villa in Roosevelt.
Patsy Barrus was born to Eliza May Harman and William Wendell Barrus on October 22, 1940. Patsy and her twin sister, Peggy, were the babies of the family and were well-loved by older brother, DeLoy and sisters, Gwen and Connie.
Patsy married Larry Wardle, the love of her life, on November 16, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. They settled near family in Hunter, Utah. The couple welcomed three children, Victor, Mitch and Leisa. The close-knit family enjoyed time together, especially time spent in nature. The family relocated to Oakley, where they built a home and a business, 5 Bar Dash Custom Trailers. Upon retirement, Patsy and Larry moved to Tabiona, where they have enjoyed the scenic land and kind-hearted community.
Patsy was artistic and found many ways to make her world beautiful. Early in life, she worked with her mother and sisters in the family beauty salon. Patsy always like to be done up and had a remarkable sense of style. She was an accomplished painter, and her oil paintings are cherished by her family.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Larry, their three children, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
A service to honor her life and memory will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Tabiona Chapel, (3750 N 37900 W). A reception will begin at 11:00 AM and the services will be at 12:00 PM.
