Pat Gunville

    Pat Gunville, age 76, formerly of Roosevelt, passed away at her daughter’s home, May 22, 2019 in Saratoga Springs.
    Pat was born February 24, 1943 in Redding, CA to Lloyd and Fern Wall Larsen.  Her family moved to Roosevelt where Pat spent her childhood years.  She attended school in Roosevelt and graduated from Union High.  In high school Pat loved to dance.  She was part of the first ever Union Cougarette Drill Team.
    After graduating she went to work as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell.  Later she worked as a medical assistant at Roosevelt Medical Clinic.  She worked in the clinic and stood in on surgeries.  She enjoyed helping people and found the medical field fascinating.
    Pat married Mel Gunville on May 21, 1983. They moved to Montana where they owned and operated a cattle ranch.  Pat was capable of anything she set her mind to.  She quickly learned new skills.  She used her medical training to treat the animals, learned to drive the tractor and managed finances.  She and Mel enjoyed their time together on the ranch.  
    Pat was gifted in art and poetry.  She made beautiful floral arrangements and crafts.  She often wrote her thoughts down in poetry form.
    She was a wonderful, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  She was kind and compassionate and always close to her family.  She had a wonderful relationship with her husband and two children.  She loved them all dearly.  Family was her top priority.  She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.  Each of them had a special place in her heart.
    She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She loved her Heavenly Father and shared her beliefs with her family.  She will be greatly missed.
    She is survived by her husband, Mel Gunville, Saratoga Springs; children Scott (Marie) Swain, Bennett; Jill (Glenn) Todd, Saratoga Springs; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren., and her sister, Betty Davis    
    She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Corrine Miles.
    Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Roosevelt Memorial Park.  A viewing will be held from 11:30 - 12:30.
