Owen Shuck

December 26, 1979 — August 25, 2024

Owen Charles Shuck, age 44, of Ballard, Utah, was killed August 25, 2024.
He was born December 26, 1979, in Sundance, Wyoming, to Ron and Katherine Sander Shuck.
Owen had worked as an outside sales agent for Marta-Co, an oilfield company.  His greatest passion was helping troubled youth, whether it was in wilderness programs or just helping them work through their challenges.  He had one biological son, but there were many children who considered him their dad, and he loved them all.  He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, hiking in his younger days, and had a talent for bowling  – which he won various trophies in.  He had an affinity for wolves.
Owen loved his family and they were always together.  He was a people person who would do anything for anyone.
In death, he continued to help others by being a tissue and organ donor.
Owen is survived by his son, Brett Charles Shuck; all of the children who considered him dad; his parents, Ron & Katherine Shuck, of Ballard; his siblings, Orin Shuck, Ballard; Kasandra (Steven) Farley, Ballard; Katriena (Juan) Soto, Roosevelt; nieces and nephews, Esmeree & Emberlin Shuck; Tristen (Maranda) Farley and their sons Bentley & Lucious; Traeger Farley; Derenis Soto; Desalyn Soto; Javier Soto; and many nieces and nephews whom he “adopted.”
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Georgia Balew, Orin Shuck, Bernard & Barbara Sander.
Per his wishes, he was cremated.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Event Center.
