Nancy Elizabeth Pectol, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024, at the age of 77. She is loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Nancy was born to LeRoy and Josie Mae Smith on May 20,1946, in Dallas, Texas; the baby girl in a family of twelve. To those who knew her, she had a heart as big as the state she was born in and was beautiful in every way. Her energy, grace, and smile drew others to her and she had the ability to make others feel important and loved.
She married Arthur Brent White in 1965. From this marriage she was blessed with six children; James White, Shawn White, Terri Davis, Scott White, Stacy Winterbottom, and Geoff White. She used her talents and love of service to create a home and rich life for her family. During this time she lived in Richmond, Utah, where she served in a wide variety of capacities including callings in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and volunteer work with newborns at Logan Regional Hospital.
On November 10, 1990, Nancy married Leroy Fon Pectol in Bountiful, Utah. This brought another son to her heart; Bryan Pectol. Nancy and Leroy lived happily in Roosevelt, Utah for almost 35 years. They both found joy and success working for the banking industry together, traveling, and running their farm. She was a wonderful friend to others and a well-loved member of the community. She continued to build a life of love and service for her family and all she came in contact with.
Nancy is grandmother to 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, with more little ones on the way. Her focus on being a mother and grandmother was everything to her. She expressed that love through her ability to listen with her heart, her fabulous cooking and sewing skills, and her hugs that seemed to come at just the right moment. Her heart revolved around her family and how she could best take care of them and help them feel loved.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Leroy Fon Pectol, brother Dennis Vernal Smith, and her children James (Billye Sue), Shawn, Terri, Bryan, Scott, Stacy (Jade), Geoff (Julieta).
She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Josie, and her siblings Rosalie, Roy, Betty, Melvin, Linda, Beverly, Kenneth, and Lionel.
