Myleen Cornpeach

Myleen Ona Cornpeach, age 40, of Whiterocks, passed away September 25, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family after a ten year battle with cancer.
She was born February 6, 1977, in Roosevelt, to Albert and Flora Irene Cuch Cornpeach.  She married Michelle Smith on July 22, 2015.
Myleen was a diesel mechanic for John Nebeker Trucking and for the last 5 years served as the President of the Ute Tribe Water Board.  She enjoyed fishing, being in the outdoors and was an avid hunter.  She was a good cook, had “mad” dancing skills, and loved her big, black rig.  She traveled often, usually just waking up and saying, “Let’s Go!”  Her family was very important to her and she was an excellent caregiver to her father.
Myleen is survived by her wife, Michelle; adopted daughter, Rossalia John, both of Whiterocks; step-children, Chavel & Jyluer Schiller, both of Shreveport, Louisiana; father, Albert Cornpeach; siblings, Alex, Richard, Russell, Frankie (Orie Nephi), Anna (Fanando Nez) Cornpeach; Jonathan Cuch, Kayleena (George) Salinas, all of Whiterocks; an aunt, Ina Jane Nephi; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Flora; sisters, Johanna Cuch, Alberta LaRose, Julie Cornpeach; and a brother, Daniel Cornpeach.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Whiterocks Community Building with a luncheon and viewing to follow.  There will be a wake on Wednesday after 4:00 p.m. at the home of her sister Anna.
She will be buried at the Waterfall Cemetery
