Michael James Morris, age 47, of Altonah, passed away April 20, 2019, at his home.
He was born September 10, 1971, in Vernal, to LaVor Leon and Bernice Eloise Hackford Morris. He married Janice Dee Richens and they later divorced. He met Lynnette Dayea and they have been together for the last eight years.
Michael was a hard worker who lived to farm and ranch. He always said his time to think was on his tractor and that it was his comfort zone. He really enjoyed watching the new calves. He also liked to hunt, and buy and sell cattle. In his younger days, he was very into wrestling, later coached Pee Wee Wrestling, and then supported his children and grandchildren in their sports. He was an avid Utah Jazz and Raiders fan.
He loved his children and grandchildren with all of his heart, and children of all ages were drawn to him.
Michael is survived by his companion Lynnette, of Altonah; children, Jessica (Jeremy) Row, Roosevelt; Miranda (Dean) Fisher, Altonah; Mason Morris, Clay Basin; Breanna Morris (Skyler Piep), Roosevelt; Kylor Davidson, Lupton, AZ; 7 grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Marie (John) Sadlier, Washington, Utah; Leon (Gene) Morris, Vernal; Harold (Shannon) Morris, Myton; Caroline (John) Wood, Ballard; Vickie (Guy) Litster, Dickinson, North Dakota; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Roger, Vern, & LeRoy Morris; nephew, Stacy Morris, Ian Sadlier, and Jamie Morris.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary with a viewing on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and from 1-1:45 p.m. Friday.
Burial will be in the Altonah Cemetery.
