Mary Miller

Mary Smith Miller, age 88, of Duchesne, passed away September 17, 2018, at the Sante Assisted Living Center in Heber City.
She was born January 18, 1930, in Wallingford, England, to William and MaryAnn Lamb Smith.  Her mother died when Mary was sixteen and she became the mom to the majority of her ten siblings.  She married Earl Lee Miller in March of 1953 in Whitney, England.  He died in June of 1988.
Mary was an extremely strong person who immigrated to America with her husband when she was twenty-five years old with two small children in tow on the Queen Mary.  She did not see her family back in England until she was fifty years old.  
She worked very hard all of her life as a housekeeper for private homes and at the Bear Creek Soup Factory.  She has been a widow for thirty years.  
She enjoyed going to Wendover, dancing to Chubby Checker with the grandkids, and was a good cook, especially famous for her goulash and her potato salad.  She was always a classy lady and took great pride in how she looked.  
Mary is survived by her children, Sheila (Vernon) Baum, Fruitland; Susan Chapman, Littlefield, AZ; Linda Street, Altamont; Kathy (Wayne) Riker, Duchesne; Rick (Heidi) Miller, Heber City; John Miller, Duchesne; Robert (LeeAnne) Miller, Duchesne; 29 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren with several great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her sons Bill & Jimmy; great-grandson, Kaeden Rich; 10 siblings, and sons-in-law, Keith Chapman and Ronnie Street.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary with a viewing on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and from 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday. 
Burial will be in the Strawberry Cemetery.
