Marrianne Pike-Carter

January 1, 1952 — November 29, 2024

Marriane Pike-Carter, age 72, formerly of Roosevelt, passed away November 29, 2024 at the Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah
She was born on New Years Day in 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lawrence and Lora Rasmussen Pike.

Marrianne was the youngest of 3 daughters. She made many life-long friends and memories all around the states, but Utah was always home.
As an accomplished professional with many achievements in her chosen career field as an I&E designer, Marrianne overcame numerous challenges in the work place, and turned both competitors and skeptics into not only colleagues, but friends. For those who knew her this was just a reflection of her everyday life.
Marrianne cherished family and friends, she took every opportunity to visit and spend time with those she loved. She had a busy life filled with a full time career and raising 2 children on her own, but would not hesitate to drop everything and go to the aid of a friend, especially family.
Marrianne had the rare talent of becoming the person she needed to be to help someone in need, whether that was a shoulder to cry on, a sound board for listening, or a stern and stubborn hand for guiding. She could be all these and then switch as needed. It was during the hardest times of others that Marrianne truly shined, and was often overlooked in the moment, but always thanked as the healing began.
Now that she is gone she will be greatly missed, but leaves behind a strong and confident legacy that strives to live up to her strength and compassion.
Rest easy Mom, we love you.
She is survived by her daughter, Mellissa Hiser, son Jayson Carter, and two sisters Connie and Jayne Pike.  Preceded in death by her parents.
