Marla Serawop

    Marla Tahlene Manning Serawop, age 56, of Whiterocks, passed away July 29, 2019, at the Intermountain Medical Center.
    She was born July 23, 1963, in Roosevelt, to Albert Beaver Manning and Delores LaRose.  She married Meredith Serawop on October 28, 2010, in Ft. Duchesne.  He died  July 6, 2012.  
    Marla was very intelligent and had worked as a paralegal in Towaoc, Colorado, and in the Uintah Basin after moving back.  She also worked for several years as an EMT with the Ute Tribe Ambulance.  She enjoyed beading, sewing, fishing, and had a beautiful voice for singing traditional songs.  She was an excellent cook of game meat.  She danced the jingle dress, traditional and in her younger days the fancy shawl at Pow Wows.  She was all about family life and loved her children, grandchildren, and having a good time with her nieces and nephews.  She really loved her brothers.  She was always there for everyone in the family and her sense of humor will be greatly missed.  
    She is survived by her daughter, Sara Tallbird, Denver; her son, Gunner Tallbird, Whiterocks; dad, Lloyd Carl Arrowchis, Sr., grandkids, Kesley, David, Mia, Adeline, T’Lila, Ruby, Sequoia, Seyenne, Keithn, Sweetie, Tommy, Myahh, Sophie, Cordell & Ottis; her siblings Keith (Dannette) Blackhair, Kessley LaRose, Percel Cesspooch, Anson Manning, Stephenie (Jonathan) Cuch, Delloy Arrowchis (Ty Navanick), Mandi (Rodelle) Mills, Carol (Bryan) Holgate; aunts and uncles, Percelina Howell, JR Manning, Jackie & Jerry Tapoof, Mike & Connie Arrowchis, Smiley Arrowchis, Glenda & Frank Arrowchis, Kee & Marie Zahne, Earl & Katherine Manning, Sr., Everett & Sandy Manning, DeVere Manning, Jr. Manning, Raymond Manning, Emmett Manning; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  
    She was preceded in death by her sons, Tony Boye Tallbird, Thomas Joseph Tallbird; her parents, her husband, Meredith; brothers, Ted Manning, Albert Lance Manning, Lloyd Arrowchis, Jr., nieces and nephews, Les Manning, Ottis Manning, Decker Manning, Adel Blackhair, Gracelyn Blackhair, Robert Manning, Keenan Manning, great grandson, Lil Deck Manning.
    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the         Whiterocks Community Building.  There will be a wake at her home in Whiterocks on Wednesday after 4:00 p.m.
