Margie Lou Buchanan

    Margie Lou Robb Buchanan, age 84, of Roosevelt, passed away February 14, 2017, in Orem, Utah.
    She was born July 17, 1932, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Paul LeRoy and Dorothy Ruby Birtcher Robb.  She married Vernon Dee Buchanan on September 14, 1960, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  He passed away on  November 25, 2009.
    Margie was a very hard worker, having worked for Bradshaw Auto Parts, Sprouse Reitz, Trailways Bus Station, and the Duchesne County Library, in Roosevelt, retiring in 1994.  She then worked at Robb’s Clothing and Sporting Goods with her brother.  She supported her husband in the family owned business, Buchanan Feed Store, and the Boy Scouts of America.
    She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings.  She was Primary Secretary and Ward Librarian in Roosevelt 5th Ward.  She was currently the Visiting Teaching Coordinator for Roosevelt 1st Ward.   She served a Native American mission in Whiterocks, Utah, as a young woman with her parents.
    Margie loved to watch sports, especially the Utah Jazz and BYU, and enjoyed playing cards and games.  Her greatest love was her family and spending as much time with them as possible.  Margie was an amazing cook, and crocheted many lovely gifts for friends and family.  She was also known for her collection of Oreo related items.
    Margie is survived by her children, Paula Dee (Daniel) Womack of Roosevelt; John Franklin (Rachel) Buchanan of Syracuse; and Robert V. (Tamera) Buchanan of Eagle Mountain; grandchildren, Dana Lee (Allen) Nelson, Jesse Dee Womack, Devin Paul Womack, Jorlin Womack (fiancée Jordan Sumner), Zachary John Buchanan, Kylie Dee Buchanan, Kortney Lyn Buchanan, and Kade Robert Buchanan; great grandchildren, Brooklee Jane Lyda, Braxton Allen Nelson, and Taegan Kay Johnson; brothers, Theron (Revo) Robb, Val (Carolyn) Robb, Lyndon (Sharon) Robb, Sheldon (Donna) Robb, Merton (Mary Jean) Robb, and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives.  
    She was preceded in by her husband, Vernon, and parents.
    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the Roosevelt LDS Stake Center.  There will be a viewing on Friday from 6:00-8:00p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary, 457 East 300 North, Roosevelt, and one prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church.
